Mitsui High-Tec (Hong Kong), Ltd. Update Its Quality System from QS 9000 to ISO/TS 16949:2002
Mitsui High-tech Ltd. (hereafter called "Mitsui HK") is a multi-national corporation, with its headquarter in Kitakyushu, Japan and subsidiaries over home and abroad. IC Leadframe, which is mainly applied in automobile industry, is the main product of Mitsui HK. In order to meet the automobile industry's requirement, Mitsui HK has acquired QS 9000 certificate. Since QS 9000 will be expired by the end of 2006, Mitsui HK has engaged TQM CONSULTANTS CO LIMITED (hereafter called TQM) to assist in the design, development and implementation of an ISO/TS 16949 quality management system in the early of this year.
Under the advices of TQM's consultants and the whole efforts of Mitsui HK's staff, the company successfully updated its quality management system from QS 9000 to ISO/TS 16949:2002 in June. Mitsui HK highly achieved the new requirement of automobile industry, ISO/TS 16949 quality system helped enhance its staff's skills, improve the production process and increase the customer satisfaction. We firmly believe that Mitsui HK would benefit in many aspects through this updating process; its high-ranked status among suppliers in automobile industry would be highly maintained as well. |
