DHL push 「LEAN」training for top management
As the leader of world logistics industry, the top management in DHL ISC (Hong Kong) Limited (DHL)fully realized the commercial discipline that learning is like rowing upstream. To further improve the awareness of management, management elites met in Hong Kong convened by Mr. Peter Levesque, Vice President of International Supply Chain Asia Pacific of DHL, to attend intensive training jointly held by TQM CONSULTANTS CO. LIMITED and City University of Hong Kong.
The 4-days' intensive training included the Philosophy of LEAN Management, extend the idea of LEAN business invented by Toyota to other industries; comprehend 7 Mudas and Value-added activities and so on. The participants' eyes were also broadened through Time, Motion and Method Study. The application of Poke Yoke; Set up Time Reduction etc., aimed to further apprehend the LEAN management. City University of Hong Kong paid high attention to the training, especially assigned Dr. K.S. CHIN to give a lecture, which raised a high tide for the training again. Throughout the training, DHL fully realized and further understood the LEAN management, and deeply expect to apply LEAN management in different aspects. |
