BESS of the Hospital Authority achieved Integrated Management Systems
TQM Consultants is proud to announce that the Biomedical Engineering and Services
Section (BESS) of the Hospital Authority has been the first division to successfully
obtain a Certificate in Integrated Management Systems, which includes:
ISO 9001:2000 Quality Management System (QMS) TQM is honored to have played a facilitating role, assisting BESS in designing, developing and implementing an EMS and an OHSMS, while simultaneously integrating the two systems with the current QMS to establish an Integrated Management System (IMS) for biomedical engineering services. While the achievement in itself is laudable, the time frame in which it was completed, a mere seven months, attests to the commitment, focus and determination of BESS. The QMS framework allowed BESS to streamline its pre-existing system and, thereby, enhance quality standards. EMS provided BESS with a focus to consolidate its environmental protection efforts. OHSMS aided BESS in making further gains in to insure a safer workplace for staff and clients. TQM is devoted to fostering winning partnerships. Many thanks to BESS and the
