On 15th April 2005, The Office of Service Quality, Hong Kong Customs & Excise
Department (C&ED) held a reception to celebrate the accreditation of its ISO
9001:2000 Quality Management System, which is the first of its kind within the
Department.
The Office is a progressive and forward-looking customs function, committing
itself to provide excellent service to the customers. TQM Consultants Co Ltd
is proud to be invited as the Office’s partner on its journey to excellence.
TQM assisted the Office in the design and implementation of a tailor-made quality
management system in accordance with ISO9001:2000. The project covers the establishment
of their own policy, the set up of a customer feedback system, and the standardization
of practices for project management.
The Office’s achievements went well beyond the certification. Their awareness
on customer requirements increases, the monitoring of performance is improved,
and internal communication of problems and achievement is enhanced.
Representing the Office, Ms. Alice LEUNG, Senior Superintendent, received the
ISO9001:2000 Certificate from the representative of the BSI Group, the certification
body. Being the consultant, TQM was also invited to the reception and the sharing
of their joy and pride.
